Elyse Weadock

lives in New York and Sundance. Her greatest passion is to be outdoors where she is captivated by nature’s artistry and her desire is to share the pure and raw beauty which she encounters. Reflected in her work is the vital essence and sincere emotion of her experiences within the natural world.

Elyse strives to capture in her images the magical moments she discovers. She is drawn to the intrigue of the abstract offered by reflections and shadows and she also seeks out the fascinating detail and clarity of a micro view. The results are a stimulating mix of color, shape and texture.

Elyse has studied at I.C.P in New York City and has participated in photographic workshops around the country. In 2009 she won a seat in the national Aperture Nature Photography Workshop contest. Elyse sits on the Board of NYC SALT, a nonprofit photography program serving underprivileged teenagers in New York City (www.nycsalt.org).
